"Birth pangs of the Mashiach"

Stewardship

Giving-Even In Uncertain times

How should we live and give in this time of economic crisis?

First, we must all make sure our focus is on living for God, witnessing for Him and be investing our time, talents and finances in building His eternal kingdom, all for His honor and glory.

I’m reminded of the song, “In times like these you need a Savior. In times like these you need an anchor. Be very sure, be very sure, your anchor holds and grips the solid Rock. This rock is Jesus, yes He’s the One, this rock is Jesus, the only One...”

Our faith and trust should not be in the economy, or our nest egg for retirement, but in God who is the source of every good and perfect gift. He promises that as we seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness all these things (food and clothing), shall be ours.

We all need reminders that we are to be strangers and pilgrims in this world for we are first called to be citizens of the heavenly city whose architect and builder is God Himself. Let’s lift high the royal banner of Christ and share confidently the only certain Hope of salvation in Him alone!

We’ve been so blessed and encouraged by several responses to our financial needs. In July, we received a $25,000 gift which helped us through the “dry” summer months. In September, a couple donated 10% of the van replacement cost. Another couple sent a check to cover nine months of the $177 weekly cost to broadcast to the millions of unreached Hausa people in Nigeria, Africa. May God be exalted and praised!

Let’s all be faithful stewards as we watch and pray. God will supply our needs - even in uncertain times!
