Prayer Call

					1 Pray for the Horsts and Kauffmans representing HERALDS OF HOPE, INC. at a church convention in Due West, SC. Pray for fruitful contacts at the convention and in area churches	2 Praise God for the continuing reach of the Jesus Film project in more and more languages. Pray for effective discipling of viewers who have indicated a decision to follow Christ.
3 Pray for Christians to understand that worship is not an event but a way of life built upon reverence for God and obedience to His commands. (Psalm 15).	4 PRAYER AND FASTING	5 Bless God for His promise that “righteousness exalts a nation.” Pray for your government leaders, elected and appointed, to have a clear understanding of their accountability to God.	6 Pray for Christians in Sri Lanka who face increasing persecution. Pray for the salvation of Buddhist extremists and monks who are fanning the flames of distrust and hostility.	7 Bless God for “Partners Int’l Ministries” opening a third Christian school in northern Iraq. It is built on land donated by the Iraqi government with their approval!	8 Pray for listeners to HOPE FOR TODAY programs in southern and central Africa to gain a better understanding of the life and ministry of Jesus through our continuing studies in Ephesians.	9 Praise God for the newest release of THE VOICE OF HOPE on WYXI, Athens, TN! Praise God for the Wellspring Mennonite Church sponsoring the program as part of their outreach.
10 Seek Spirit anointing on Bro. J. Mark as he shares the Word this evening at Goshen Mennonite Church, Laytonsville, MD. His topic, “A Simple Lifestyle in a Day of Affluence.”	11 Praise God for the 13,000+ junior high students enrolled in Bible clubs in Ghana! Thank God we can assist Bro. Ohene Kumi with Bibles to reward students for completion of their studies.	12 Pray the Lord of the Harvest to send forth laborers into the harvest field. Pray that the literature and CDs we mail to seeking ones will be used of God to reap part of the harvest.	13 Bless God for Hope Outreach Ministries’ training program for pastors and Christian leaders in Hyderabad, India. Ask God to equip His servants so they can also equip others.	14 Pray for effective evangelism and discipleship through the 30 weekly releases of our Spanish program, “Secure Hope.” Seek Spirit direction for the production team in Venezuela.	15 Rejoice in the growing number of youth and young adults who are rejecting the contemporary, watered-down version of Christianity for a passionate love for God and obedience to His Word!	16 Pray Spirit anointing on our Hope for Today programs aired from KTWR Guam today. Thank God our partnership with TWR enables our programs to reach many areas of Southeast Asia.
17 Bless God for the opportunity to present the work of HOH at Herr Street Mennonite Church in Harrisburg, PA this evening. Ask God to activate more partners in mission as a result of the meeting.	18 Intercede for Pastor Chris Ambessa in East Jakarta, Indonesia who has been ordered to cease all religious activity in his home. Pray for the church congregation as they appeal this ruling.	19 Praise the Lord for Daniel and Mary Pierce who donated their time and expertise in painting the headquarters building of HOH. Pray God’s blessing on them for their service!	20 Pray for the Albanian language program producers preparing “Messages of Hope.” Pray Holy Spirit blessing on the programs they are producing from Dr. Yoder’s expositions from Romans.	21 Thank God for faithful, older Believers whose godliness sets a good example for younger ones. Pray for those who have influenced your life and write them a note or e-mail of encouragement!	22 Join Messianic believers in Israel calling on the Lord during this time of water shortages in Israel. Pray that God will use this crisis to point people to Messiah, the provider of all blessing.	23 Praise God for His sovereign care for His children. Thank Him daily for His protection in the home, on the job, on the highways, and in numerous other areas.
24 Pray Spirit anointing on THE VOICE OF HOPE today as we air the first message in the series on, “Biblical Economics”, by Bro. Yoder. Pray many will benefit from this practical teaching.	25 Bless God for our daily Guarani language programs to Paraguay! Thank Him that Guarani Believers are being discipled by the programs and that seekers are coming to know about God’s love for them.	26 Pray for teachers and administrators of Christian Schools preparing for a new year. Ask the Lord to give them guidance and wisdom in relating to the students as role models.	27 Praise God for the faithfulness of Chinese Pastor Zhang who has been evicted from his home. Ask God to provide a place where he and Mrs. Zhang can stay to recover from abusive interrogation.	28 Ask God to use the Gospel bookstore to provide needed funding for the orphanage in Nepal. Pray too for effective outreach to nominal Christians, Hindus, and Muslims in the Katmandu Valley.	29 Praise God for His direction and inspiration for the 40th Anniversary Celebration programs! Pray Spirit blessing on Bro. J. Mark as he develops the program, and Bro. Bob as he oversees the scheduling.	30 Pray for tortured, Iranian Christian, Mohsen, who has fled Iran with his family. Pray they will find safety in eastern Turkey and he will recover from the injuries received during interrogation.
31 Praise the Lord for the opportunity of corporate worship and remember those who must meet in secret for fear of the authorities. Pray that God would grant them boldness and courage.
